SENATE BILL NO. 44 "An Act relating to the prescription of drugs                                                                
by a physician assistant without physical examination" was read the                                                             
second time.                                                                                                                    
                                                                                                                                
Senator von Imhof, Cochair, moved and asked unanimous consent for                                                               
the adoption of the Finance Committee Substitute offered on page 824.                                                           
Senator Begich objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no                                                            
further objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 44(FIN) "An Act                                                                       
relating to the prescription of drugs by a physician assistant without                                                          
physical examination; and providing for an effective date" was                                                                  
adopted.                                                                                                                        
                                                                                                                                
Senator Costello moved and asked unanimous consent the bill be                                                                  
considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final                                                             
passage. Without objection, it was so ordered.                                                                                  
                                                                                                                                
CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 44(FIN) was read the third time.                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
Senator Hughes moved and asked unanimous consent to abstain from                                                                
voting due to a conflict of interest. Objections were heard and Senator                                                         
Hughes was required to vote.                                                                                                    
                                                                                                                                
The question being: "Shall CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 44(FIN) "An                                                                   
Act relating to the prescription of drugs by a physician assistant                                                              
without physical examination; and providing for an effective date"
